HISTORY

Fred Ross opened Bandland in 1964 at 148 E. Pike Street , just down from its current location. 

Ross previously worked for C.C. Keys Music in Clarksburg .  In 1971, Bandland moved up the

street to the current location.  Evan Jones came to work at Bandland in 1978, and purchased the

business from Fred Ross in 1990.

 

Bandland continues to serve and support the school music market, which has been its primary focus

since the business opened in 1964.  Bandland specializes in all aspects of school music, as well as the

drum and percussion market.

 

In 2005, Bandland completed the addition of a 1,500 square foot warehouse.

 

In 2007, Bandland has opened a new lesson facility - The Bandland Education Center.
